Job description

The supply department plays a key role in the operation of the company by maintaining the inventory level of raw materials, purchasing a wide variety of products and tools used at all levels at Armatures Bois- Franks.

Reporting to the Supply Coordinator, the Supply Technician will be assigned responsibility for supplying specific product groups while maintaining basic general knowledge of all purchases.

 

- More specifically, the supply technician will:
​- Respond to purchasing requests from its product groups coming from the multiple departments of ABF.
- Work closely with ABF's delivery / shipping team to ensure that the products received reach their destination or are stored properly.
- Create and manage a computerized inventory system
- Request and negotiate the prices of materials necessary for the realization of projects in order to meet the requirements;
- Make sure you get the best payment and transport terms;
- Validate that the materials ordered comply in all respects with the requests.
- Issue vouchers via the ERP system (Maestro);
- Coordinate transport logistics to ensure goods are received in good condition and on time;
- Ensure close follow-up with suppliers regarding issues related to; too long delays, delivery error, damaged merchandise, pricing error and any other non-compliance.
- Collaborate in the evaluation of subcontractors according to quality                               -production capacity, respect of deadlines, service, support and costs;
- Analyze the history of materials kept in inventory as well as monitor minimums and maximums;
- Participate in the annual evaluations of suppliers for ISO certification;
- Negotiation of various maintenance contracts (ventilation, landscaping maintenance, printer maintenance, etc.);
- Purchase of office and computer furniture.

Required skills

  • Have a functional English both orally and in writing (an asset);
    - Know how to use Microsoft Office tools;
    - Any experience deemed relevant will be considered.

Training requirements

- Have at least 5 years of experience in this field;
- Have completed studies related to procurement and / or purchasing;
