Under the responsibility of the Production Coordinator, the factory mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing the equipment for all processing facilities at our plants at our Victoriaville head office. He oversees the day-to-day production operations on his shift (evening).
- Performs predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment
- Performs production troubleshooting such as emergencies, shutdowns, and breakages
- Execute the work according to the priorities established according to the daily production
- Does machine inspections related to production
- Analyzes breakdowns and suggests ways to improve the efficiency of the production line and informs the production coordinator of problems encountered
- Performs machining of mechanical parts and welding
- All other related tasks;
Required skills
- Experience of maintenance and maintenance in factory or in a manufacturing area, an asset
- Knowledge in mechanics, electronics, electrical, hydraulic.
- Experience in welding, an asset.
- Valid driver's license;
Training requirements
- DEP in maintenance, electromechanical or any other relevant combination
