Job description

Under the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer, the Financial and IT Director will be in charge of several mandates.

Accounting and finance

- Oversee and finalize the preparation of financial statements and accounting in collaboration with the controller. (General & Assets Accounting, Treasury and Tax Issues);

- Prepares periodic gap analyzes and ensures that accounting activities are properly documented within the required timeframes;

- Establishes the budget process with management and follow their evolution with management control and monitoring of the company's liquidity;

- Recommends improvements to ensure the integrity of the company's financial information;

- Oversees and supports administrative and operational accounting services such as the processing of progressive billing to customers, work in progress, accounts payable management and payroll service;

- Supports management in the context of financial analysis and improvement projects related to the financial function or the business process;

- Develops tools to help decision-making;

- Resource person for the management of administrative projects focused on a continuous improvement and process optimization approach.

Compliance and audit

- Identifies and manages business risks and requirements for bonding, group insurance and property insurance;

- Pilot legal files;

- Oversees and participates in operations with external and governmental auditors;

- Supervise compliance reports required by regulatory and governmental bodies (CCQ, RBQ, taxes, taxes, permits, licenses ...)

Team management and development

- Hires, trains and retains qualified staff for his team;

- Ensures that employees and team members receive appropriate training and development based on their responsibilities;

- Coach and develop staff using a support and collaboration approach: assigns responsibilities and prioritizes tasks, sets objectives, conducts performance appraisals, evaluates deliverables and results.

IT and technology management

- Ensures a technological watch to optimize the efficiency of the company in the financial functions;

- Ensures smooth operation and optimization of IT.

Skills sought
- Knowledge in group insurance;

- Mastery of the Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);

Training required


- Bachelor's degree in Accounting Administration or any other experience deemed relevant;

- Possess a CPA accounting title;

-Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in similar functions including the area of ​​surety;

-Experience in the construction industry highly desired;
